Halloween Movies
Part of the Halloween fun is sitting down in front of a Halloween movie
on Halloween night and getting scared out of your wits. There are
a huge number of horror movies available so it can be difficult to
choose. Indeed you will find that not all horror movies are Halloween
movies and vice versa.
The following are some of the classic Halloween movies that many people love to watch around Halloween:
· Halloween – The film
‘Halloween’ is many peoples top pick for scary Halloween
viewing. The first in this series was released in 1978. This film gave
birth to the horrific character of Michael Myers and stars Jamie Lee
Curtis.
· Poltergeist – This 1982 Halloween
movie stars JoBeth McWilliams and Craig Nelson. A real estate developer
and his family start experiencing creepy happenings. The daughter ends
up disappearing into another dimension and paranormal experts fight to
save the day. Excellent special effects and a definite Halloween movie.
· The Omen – There have been many
versions of this since but the 1976 version starring Gregory Peck and
Lee Remick is fantastic. A great story line as Lee Remick stars as the
Anti-christ, born into the body of an innocent looking little boy.
· The Exorcist – Another old film but
this academy award winning 1973 film was classes as one of the scariest
horrors of all time when it was first released. The film deals with the
demonic possession of a little girl and her mother’s attempts to
have her exorcised with the help of several priests.
There are many other fantastic Halloween movies out there. If you look
online you will find many different review sites that mention some of
the classics and favourites, so do your research, get down to your
local DVD store and get watching a scary Halloween movie this
Halloween.
